Specimen Requirements
A trough level is usually drawn 30 minutes before dose.
Note: Label specimen appropriately (trough).
Container/Tube: Lithium-heparin (light green top) or Red Top
Preferred: Lithium heparin (light green-top) *****NO Serum Gel (SST)*****
Draw blood, spin down and send 1 mL of plasma or serum.
