Specimen Requirements

Specimen testing must be performed within 4 hours of collection, within 30 minutes is preferred.

Biopsy specimens are submitted in sterile, leakproof container. Add enough bacteriostatic saline to cover the specimen. Forward promptly.
Note:  Biopsy specimens can be inoculated directly into a urease vial. Forward promptly.
