Note: “ABO and Rh Typing, Antibody Screen” (PRNAT) must also be ordered with “Obstetric Panel.”
Specimen Requirements
Specimen must arrive within 24 hours of draw.
Blood and serum are required for this test.
Blood
Draw blood in a lavender-top (EDTA) tube(s), and send 10 mL of EDTA
whole blood. Forward unprocessed whole blood promptly.
Note: Include report of diagnosis and
history of transfusions, pregnancy, and drug therapy.
Serum
Draw blood in serum separator tube (SST) tube(s). Spin and send
10 mL of serum.
Note: Include report of diagnosis and
history of transfusions, pregnancy, and drug therapy.
